Raising Teens in Grace

Posted: October 26, 2018 in Uncategorized
As a dad to young teens, I am learning to inspire my teenagers to receive from Jesus. Transformation comes from belief in Christ. I have noticed, a majority of the world will hate that our children have beliefs from scripture and think that correction from God’s word is not healthy. Receiving correction from scripture is learning to submit to the authority of Jesus. Children that are taught to receive correction from Jesus will grow in life and submit to those in authority. Whether in a job, school, police, government, church or home, submitting to human authority is necessary and will bring glory to Jesus (1 Peter 2:13). My prayer is they do not repeat the same unhealthy patterns of rebellion I experienced as a teenager but choose to grow in grace and trust the love of Jesus in every situation. My prayer is they see their father’s lifestyle of grace louder than my sermons to them on grace (easy to get this backward). I so enjoy being a dad and it has inspired me, even more, to love correction from the word that became flesh, Jesus. #receivegiveserveingrace

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
